The Protein Donut

By taking high carb and high sugar ingredients and swapping them out for high protein ingredients,  I have found a way to create a fun donut recipe. 

 I have made several different variations from Smores to Mac and Cheese donuts. Check it out

Salted Caramel Pumpkin Donut


Salted Caramel cinnamon pumpkin donuts

✔2 servings of Quest Salted Caramel protein powder  2sp

✔1 cup birch benders high protein pancake mix or Kodiak power cakes whole grain  buttermilk flapjack    mix 10sp

✔1tbsp baking powder

✔1tsp ground cinnamon ✔1/4 cup of unsweetened pumpkin puree ✔1 and 1/4 cups of water

Mix and fill 2 six cavity reg size donut pans or molds

Cook 10 -15 min at 375

1 Weight Watcher smart point  each

Smores Donut

1cup Kodiak power cakes whole wheat flapjack mix (10sp) -


1 serving or scoop of Quest Vanilla milkshake protein powder (1sp) -


1 serving or scoop of Quest Salted Caramel protein powder (1sp) - 

1/4 cupng  Sukrin Brown Sugar Blend 0sp


1tbsp baking powder (0sp) -


1sp ground cinnamon (0sp) -


1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce (0sp)


1 1/4  cups of water


Spoon batter into


Reg size 6 cavity donut pan that is sprayed with non stick. Bake 375 10 -15 min


Makes 12 1sp donuts - [For the Chocolate drizzle and Marshmallow fluff graham cracker topping - ] -


Chocolate drizzle recipe ✔ -


1 serving or scoop of Quest Vanilla milkshake protein powder (1sp) -


1 tbsp Hershey's Special Dark unsweetened cocoa powder (0sp) -


In a bowl mix 1/2 cup of water with Quest and Cocoa to make drizzle. More water can be added to achieve desired  consistency -


Marshmallow topping✔ -


5tbsp Cool Whip free (1sp) -


4tbsp Marshmallow fluff (4sp) -


Mix in bowl to combine -


Graham cracker crumble✔ -


6 graham cracker squares


Crushed - sprinkle over finished product -

2 Weight Watchers smart points ea with toppi



Lemon Meringue Donut

Great Lemony (is that a word?) Flavor

Great summer time donut! I always am trying to mix it up with different flavors and ingredients. I love it when things work out.

What you need

2 servings or scoops of Devotion Nutrition Angel Food Cake protein powder 

1 serving of Devotio Nutrition Lemon Meringue

Flex Flavor 

1/2 tbstbsp of baking powder 

1 cup of Birch Benders high protein pancake mix 

1 serving of 80 cal Light and Fit Lemon Meringue

 greek yogurt 

1 cup of water


Now Bake

Spray ( with non stick)  your reg size 6 cavity donut mold or pan and spoon in mix. 

Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375.

Makes 12 donuts at only 1 Weight Watcher smart point each

I finished mine with a sprinkle of Sukrin frosting sugar (zero calories) 

Pound Cake Donut

Donut Ice cream sandwich

You can turn any of my donuts into aan ice cream sandwich. Here is how I made this one.

Recipe -

If you are a weightwatchin son of a gun this treat is only 5sp and packed with protein!

Here's what you do

Pound cake donut -

2 servings of Devotion nutrition Angel  Food cake protein powder (Mud10 saves 10%) order frofrom

1 cup of flour

1tbsp of baking powder 

1tsp of vanilla extract 

1tsp of butter extract 

1/4 cup of unsweetened apple sauce 

1 1/2 cup of water

Mix together and spoon into a reg size 12 cavity donut pan or mold. (Spray with nonstick spray) 

Cook at 375 for 12 min 

Makes 1 dozen 1sp each

*After they cool off - you impatient bastard
Slap 1/2 cup of your favorite low cal high protein ice cream in between two donuts ( I used Halo Top Creamery candy bar 3sp ) and enjoy

Strawberry Shortcake

I mean you can make a donut sandwich out of anything... ice cream, birdballs, bacon egg and cheese! 

3 Weight Watcher Smart Points  Whip free 5 tbsp is only 1 WW smart point, and some fresh cut strawberries - boom strawberry shortcake for only

Coconut Angel Food Cake Donut

2 servings of Devotion Nutrition Angel Food Cake Protien Powder

1cup of high protein pancake mix 

1/2 tbsp of baking powder 

1 teaspoon of coconut extract 

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon  

1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce 

 1 cup of seltzer water

Mix together and spoon into sprayed reg size  donut pan  bake at 375 10 min in a metal pan 375 15 min in silicone donut pan. Makes 12  1 -weight watcher smart point  donuts


Frosted with Devotion Nutrition Flex flavor 

Coconut biscotti mixed with 4 tbsp cool whip free and 3 tbsp of unsweetened  coconut milk ... and sprinkles 

Blueberry Angel Food Cake Donut

Recipe with smart points

2 servings of Devotion Nutrition Angel Food cake protein 2sp

 1 cup of Birch Benders high protein pancake mix 9sp

1/4 cup of sukrin brown sugar 0sp

1 tbsp baking powder 

1 tsp ground cinnamon 

1/4 cup of fat free Greek yogurt 0sp

1 1/4 cup of cold water

1 cup of fresh blueberries 

Mix together and spoon into (sprayed with non stick spray)  donut molds or pan

Cook at 375 for 12-15 min

Makes 12 reg size donuts 1 Weight Watcher smart point each 

Mud tip

Mix the blueberries with the dry ingredients to prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the donut

Sprinkle

Sprinkle with Sukrin icing zero calorie sweetener and serve

For the donut
 2 servings of Devotion Nutrition Angel  Food cake protein powder
1 cup of high protein pancake mix
1 packet of Jello sugar free instant pudding mix (pistachio flavor)
1tbsp of baking powder
1/4 cup of unsweetened apple sauce
1 1/2 cup of water
Few drops of green food coloring
Mix together and spoon into a reg size 12 cavity donut pan or mold.
Cook at 375 for 12 min
For the frosting
5 tbsp of cool whip free
1tsp of Bailey's Irish Cream liquor
Mix together and dunk donuts in after completely cooled - 1 Weight Watcher smart point each

Mac and Cheese donuts

Mac and cheese donut 

Here is the recipe -


2 servings (scoops ) Quest multi purpose baking mix 1sp


1/4 cup Birch Benders high protein pancake mix or Kodiak power cakes whole grain buttermilk pancake waffle mix 2sp


1/2 cup breadcrumbs 5sp


1 tbsp baking powder 

Salt, pepper, seasonings (I used garlic and onion powder) 

1/4 cup Sargento reduced 4 cheese blend  2sp


1 egg 


1 box Trader Joes  reduced guilt mac and cheese 8sp (cook first)  or serving of Muds Velveeta Mac and cheese ( click see more )

1 1/2 cup of water


Mix all together and fill your reg size donut pan that is treated with non stick

Cook at 375 for 10-15 min (everyone's oven is different) mine were done in 10.


Makes 12 #mudsmacandcheesedonut  at 2 Weight Watchers smart points  each

Blueberry Donut

2 scoops or servings  of Quest protein powder Vanilla  milkshake flavor ( a scoop is considered a single serving ) 

1 cup of Kodiak power cakes whole grain buttermilk pancake waffle mix 

1 tsp cinnamon 

1 tbsp baking powder 

1 1/4 cup cold water

1/2 cup fresh  blueberries

1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce 

Mix together, fill your  reg size donut pan that is sprayed with non stick spray. Cook 10 -12 min at 375. Makes 12 reg size 1sp donuts 

Chocolate donuts


1 cup  Birch Benders high protein pancake mix or Kodiak power cakes 10 sp

2 serving or scoop of Quest Vanilla protein 

2tbsp unsweetened dark chocolate cocoa  powder 

1 tbsp baking powder 

1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce 

1 1/4 cup cold water

375 10 - 12 min makes 12 donuts 1 Weight Watchers smart point each

Cinnamon and Brown sugar Donuts


2 servings or scoops of Quest protein powder (flavor of choice)2sp

1cup of Birch Benders high protein pancake mix or Kodiak power cakes mix 

1/2 cup Sukrin  Gold brown sugar 

1tbsp baking powder 

1tbsp ground cinnamon 

1tsp vanilla extract 

1/3 cup of unsweetened apple sauce 

1 cup water 

Spray your donut pan 

375 10-12 min 

Makes 12 reg size donuts

1 Weight Watcher smart point each

Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon
