Why not make a meatloaf recipe that is lower in fat and calories and then stuff it with mac and cheese? I think that when living a healthier lifestyle it is important to not feel deprived . eat a kale sSo making fun indulgent foods is super important to make this a sustainable way of life.
First thing's first... gotta make a tasty guilt free mac and cheese so either head over to my recipe or use a store bought brand like Trader Joe's guilt free mac and cheese.
This only needs one serving of mac and cheese to layer in the middle of the meatloaf. My recipe is 8 ww points if you are a ww and counting.
We are using very lean ground turkey in this recipe. So we could technically call it a birdloaf.
Here are the details.
Meatloaf ingredients -
2 lbs of 99% lean ground turkey
1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
1/4 cup Frank's red hot wing sauce
1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
Salt,pepper,garlic powder, onion powder (around a tsp ea)
You will also need *
1/2 cup of prepared mac and cheese
2 slices of Sargento Ultra Thin provolone cheese
(These slices add up to 3 WW points)
Hand mix the meatloaf ingredients and layer half of the mixture in a loaf pan.
Layer your mac and cheese
Then your provolone cheese
Top with the rest of meatloaf mixture. Be sure to press together on edges
Bake at 350 for 60 min
Divided into 6 servings this is 3 WW points each on blue and purple plans and 6 WW points each on green
